Liquid Control

Device for accurate manual control of liquid from a 5 cc syringe (no needle). The syringe is filled with the liquid to be expelled from its tip. It is mounted in a fixture, initially filled with the liquid. A long screw with a knob on its end is mounted in a long secure nut. When the handle is rotated the screw advances, pushing the liquid out of the tip in a controlled amount. The thread of the screw is 16 turns per inch. There is a clicking device which clicks 8 times per revolution of the screw. Counting the clicks aurally allows measurement of the amount of travel of the screw. The device is for experimenting for different amounts of liquid. It has a simple stand for vertical mounting on a work bench allowing a small cup to be set under the tip. A slight problem: There might be a lot of clicks to count which could be onerous. Is there an existing counting gadget that counts the clicks$
