Build a Website

The idea for this website is to leverage Twitter as an educational platform that allows students to tweet questions,opinions or contribute to a presentation in a seminar or lecture setting. Below are some of the features required: Twitter login Real time displaying of tweets using the streaming api on a particular user defined hashtag A real time wordcloud based on the tweets that are retrieved An image gallery that displays pictures that students have tweeted with the particular ahshtag The above is for a particular class and we would like this to be scalable. In short, if i have 50 professors sing the application, they can do so individually, each using a unique hashtag We would also like to do a little analytics.. Overview Based on a particular hashtag, i would want to do a time series graph for tweets up to 1 year ago or the 1st tweet that was tweeted via this hashtag (whiever more recent) A word cloud on these tweets The top 5 hashtags that are mentioned from these tweets The top 5 tweets based on retweet count and favourite count Another view where I can see tweets from individual student A network graph linking students who interacted with one another(via RT or replies) and also links to commonly used words. In short, the final network graph will tell me what are the words (less stopwords) that each individual student talked about, words that are commonly mentioned and who mentioned them as well as interactions amongst students Tweets should be stored in a database and have a page that can easily access these tweets, which can be exported to excel or pdf for extraction.
