Hi, I think this issue is probably a php issue rather than a WordPress issue. I suspect the PHP Max Execution time is too small for the task you are carrying out. Edited to add: Could also be a memory limit that you are hitting. Do you have access to your webserver error logs? What kind of server is it hosted on and do you have access to the php configuration files? I'd be happy to investigate and fix for you. I don't have any particular knowledge of wordpress, but I'd be 99% sure the issue isn't wordpress itself.
