SC Clearance is essential 6 Month contract on day rate • Technical development and testing of the RNI (Remote Network Interface) • Delivery of the RNI against programme deadlines • Incident Management and resolution of Production support issues • Carry out analysis and design of customer requirements. • Manage the deployment of fixes and changes into the Production environment. • Complete the necessary technical and implementation documentation. • Work closely with project managers, technical leads, the architecture team and SME’s to ensure technical solutions are delivered consistently and adhere to standards. • Train and mentor more junior or less experienced members of the team. Essential Skills: • Dev Ops • VMware 5.5 conversant – Understand and familiar using the vCentre Client, Understanding of use & Purpose of Snapshots/Clones etc. • RHEL 5.1x and 6.5 (install and troubleshooting) • PostgreSQL conversant • Java (inc Keystore) • SSL, configuration & communication in secured environments. • Satellite (Red Hat Deployment Toolset/RPM Repository/Patch Management) • Working knowledge of IPv6, and general networking in principal (especially in multi-tier applications and complex systems) • Understanding of Firewall principals, and familiar in defining required firewall rules set requirements • Puppet • SNMP • BASH scripting • Perl • MS SQL – Understanding knowledge of database engines, but some exposure to MS-SQL 2008 and above would be beneficial, specifically T-SQL Scripting. • A working knowledge of OpenLDAP, Apache Tomcat or ActiveMQ would be advantageous • Practical hands on understanding of development processes including both waterfall an agile methodologies • Strong communication skills • Awareness of a range of technology platforms and packaged applications and their support and development dependencies
