I need send emails using Smtp of gmail, the script is based on cakephp 2.x, the configuration is the following: public $gmail = array( 'host' => 'ssl://[login to view URL]', 'port' => 465, 'username' => 'myemailgmail', 'password' => 'mypasswordgmail', 'transport' => 'Smtp' ); This configuration is ok because it's working on other server with centOS 6. The error of cakephp is "Connection timed out". I need the step by step to configure the server to enable this functionality.

Dear Employer, 1) Are you able to telnet 465 port of gmail from cakephp server? if not 2) Check your firewall rules on the server if you have any 3) Open the port on router for this server to connect 465 of gmail.
