I have around 70-80 tabs in excel that have projects and some other tabs that it’s not projects and I don’t need them . If I can give you list of tabs that I need to combine they all have same format but first 3-4 rows there is miscellaneous things that I don’t need to combine I’ll combine starting row 5 as example , is there a way to do that and if so what’s the best way ? Knowing that I might add new tabs in future or if a project is done , the person who maintain the excel will replace tab name and put new information . In combined sheet it will give a column at end or beginning of the information I’m combining . What’s the best way to do that ? The main tasks required are: - Merge the selected tabs into one sheet - Organize the combined data by project name - Present the data in alphabetical order The person ideal for this job should have: - Extensive knowledge in Excel handling and formulas - Proven experience in data organization and Excel management - Ability to strictly follow given instructions - Proficiency in English for clear communication - Attention to detail as precision is key in this project While this project is relatively straightforward, it requires clear comprehension of the dataset and careful execution. Hi, this is very common task and it can be automated. Basically we can create a macro that will loop through all sheets (no matter how many of them) and combine them into a single one. I am a native born U.S. citizen with years of experience in data management and a degree in data science. My plan to tackle your project is to use the OpenPXL Python package combined with Pandas to ingest your data and break it into constituent parts. Each tab will be it's own dataframe so that I can then remove the ones that you don't want to keep. Next, I will collate the keepers into a single dataframe with the project name as key so I can sort alphabetically, and finally I will out put each dataframe to an eponymous tab in a collected Excel for you. I don't expect any pay until project completion, milestones exist solely for your reference.
