Android/Iphone App - Google Maps

App should be compatible for both Android and IOS. Fairly simple app that would upload pictures and metadata to our database and show a map of previous uploads. Screen 1: Login call to our user db. Signup – Facebook or to our user database. Screen 2: Create a Report – Allows the user to enter a report into an SQL database. Button View Reports – Takes the user to a filterable google map that shows all the reports in our database. Button User Preferences - A side popout Create a Report Page: First option to come up is for the user to take a picture or to select pictures from their device. If they take a picture, they should have the option of approving the picture. If they approve, there should be the option of adding another photo. If they are done taking pictures, they are given the option of adding additional fields: Date: Automatically fills in the current date. Number – Generates a numerical number for the report. This can be edited. Name: There are two name fields that need to be searchable. The format in the search bar should be NameField1 - NameField2. As the user types it should autocomplete using one or both of the name fields. When the user selects the name, only those markers should be shown on the map. The search bar should be styled like the typical Google Maps search bar. There are a total of 500,000 name entries in the NameField database, so the speed of the autocomplete is a top concern. Location: Uses the GPS feature from the phone to suggest a list of locations from the Google locations. Also gives the user the option to enter their own location if GPS is disabled or their location does not come up. It should also give them the option to hide the exact GPS location for this report. Notes: A simple text box where the user can input additional data. Checkbox to make the report private. Submit Button – Enters the information into the database. An album for the location and date will be created on the external website that includes all of the pictures for the location and date. After the report is submitted, there should be a button for the user to share the report, to create another report, or to view reports. View Reports This page brings up a full page google map showing all the reports listed. The default filters will be selected by the users in the preferences screen. A popout screen will allow the user to search by the name field. It will also show other filter options from db fields. These include items like date, location, radius from (zip, city, county, state), username, and several other simple filters from db fields. User Preferences User will be able to select the default filters they want for viewing the report map. Users will be able to turn off the reporting of GPS location. Users will be able to make all reports private. The data would be uploaded, but the report would be hidden except to the user. Show the map as a heat map, clusters, or individual markers. Default location to share reports. Most commonly a Facebook Group Option to edit the default number given to the report. The map would save all reports if there is no internet connection. Upload would occur when there is one. There will be a large number of markers, so the speed of the database calls and addition of markers is a top concern. Total number of markers, without any filtering, will be around 300,000.
