Barcode decoding from Android phone camera at any angle

I'd like to have Android SDK to be able to read barcodes from camera phone, as far as I've checked Zxing is the best one open source that does. However it reads only if code is placed parallel to camera viewfinder, aligned, in landscape mode. Some paid apps can read barcodes at 'almost' any angle of camera to barcode. So the task is to enhance zxing to allow it to find barcodes in any place of viewfinder and read at any angle. Or suggest better / easier solution.
