Electronic Work Order Client

The mobile App will serve as a convenient way for existing account holders (clients) to access and manage their work orders. Using Web Services, the App will communicate to an already existing server/database, using an already existing schema to gather data for display and management on the App. Our company’s software follows a SAAS (software as a service) model, allowing its clients to have an agreed amount of users access the features. The current software allows a company to have its users create and manage electronic work orders for services (Janitorial, Construction, etc). Different users can have different privileges, depending on their permissions. The App will leverage this already existing database through web service calls. A user will open the app, and be presented with a login screen. He will enter his user name, his password, and a code for the app to know which client this user is a part of. Once the credentials are successfully input, and checked via web services, the App will then make another web service call to ask for upcoming work orders. This resulting page will list the resulting work orders, and display them in a scrollable vertical list. Each element of this list (a work order) will initially display a few items of detail for the work order (work order #, client name, date and time of work order etc). If one of these work orders is selected, that work order will expand (and be pushed to the top of the screen) to allow details of the work order to be viewed and edited (if the user has permission to edit them). Once any data is changed, the work order is submitted via web services back to the database, with acknowledgment that the work order has been updated. In addition to displaying the upcoming work orders, the user can access a search bar, and type in some specific element to search for (work order #, property name, etc). Once submitted, a web service call will again go out (with the search text as a parameter of the call), and the web service return will contain the relevant work orders for that search. This way, the list of work orders can be filtered down for ease of selection. Work Orders can have photos attached to them, and if a work order does have them attached, these can be viewed from the details of the work order. Also, new photos (either taken by the iPhone itself, or selected from the iPhone’s current Gallery) can be added to the Work Order through web services. The app will need to be able to handle English, Spanish and French, and allow for future languages to be added. The language desired will be a setting that is selectable from the iPhone’s settings App, under a settings screen specifically for our App. Lastly, we will need to be able to capture and save data from web services locally, so that work orders can be added despite the iphone not being currently connected to the internet. Once connected, any stored work order changes or additions can then be uploaded through web services. We are looking for this App to be written in Swift, and the ideal coder would be proficient in all of the above mentioned features.
