I'm currently in the process of finalizing my latest musical project which is heavily inspired by reggae. To breathe life into this particular creation, I'm seeking an incredibly talented musician who can add live horn sections to one of the tracks. The purpose behind incorporating live horns is to enhance the melody, bringing an additional layer of energy and excitement that I feel is missing. With your help, I'm aiming to create a sound that stands out, bringing a unique flavor to the reggae genre. Ideal Skills and Experience: - Proficiency in playing the trumpet and/or trombone - Strong background in reggae music, understanding its core elements - Experience in studio recording, capable of producing high-quality audio from a home or professional studio - Ability to collaborate and take direction regarding the desired sound and feel of the track - Creative mindset to experiment and suggest improvements to achieve the best possible outcome What This Job Involves: - Recording live horns (trumpet or trombone) over one reggae track - Working closely with me to experiment with different horn sections to see what enhances the melody most effectively - Delivering high-quality recordings that can be seamlessly integrated into the existing track If you are passionate about making music and have a flare for adding vibrant, energetic horn sections to songs, I would love to hear from you. Hi there, I'm a professional Audio Engineer with more than 10 years of experience. I will clean up, edit, remove background noise, Add effects (reverb, delay), Mastering and Mixing, Stereo imaging, process by EQ and compressor, normalize the volume of the recording, wind, enhance, fix, repair, hiss, hum, rustling, mouth-clicks, restore audio and converting your file to any format you like. I use industry-standard software and techniques to ensure your audio is crystal clear and free of distracting noise. I can professionally edit, master, and improve the quality of your audio. A little bit more difficult sound issues. All that Basic offers plus: The removal of minor noise/pops/clicks, minor wind noises, minor clothing noises, Reverb Management, and Balance audio. -> Remove any sort of background noise or unwanted sounds -> Make your voice sound RICH and FULL -> edits, cuts wherever needed (provide time indications please) -> a TOP level mixing and mastering (any FX you want!) -> adding intro/outros/adds (provided by you) -> a volume normalization, according to International Loudness Standards (if requested) -> output audio in any desired format (mp3, WAV, really whatever!) Hi there! I’m a Trumpet and French Horn player with grade 8 distinction in both, and having listened to your sample I would love to join you on this project. I study music at Cambridge University with a module on reggae so I will be more than able to meet your needs. Not only this but I have over 2 years’ experience playing in a real horn section in a professional big band on the trumpet, and so I have a full range of mutes and techniques that I am used to that we could explore - things like flutter-tonguing and glissandos. I’m incredibly passionate about brass in general but also where it fits into a current sound. As for recording the sound itself, I use a blue yeti mic in my home studio. It has never let me down previously but just in case it doesn’t suit the sound you’re after, I have access to a backup studio that I can rent at a reduced rate. For full transparency, I think it’s only fair for you to hear my sound before you spend any money - unfortunately I can’t attach anything here, but if you do think I fit the bill, shoot me a message and I’ll send you a custom portfolio.
