Hello My name is Eva, I had dealt with similar issues before. I would also need to know how this errors started, all of a sudden or slowly were getting more and more. Because if they built up in time you might also need to upgrade the hosting account. The issues usually happen also when the sites are hit by massive traffic and the server obviously cannot handle it. So to say the host might be to small from the very beginning, but the errors only kick in after the site starts having serious traffic. Now you don't mention anything about the site. How old it is, how many posts are in place, how large is the database. This can also be a part of the problem. A site with 10 posts has way less server usage for anything that one with hundreds or thousands. From your list of things to do, it's a bit difficult for me to scan your personal computer, that's something you will have to perform.
