Full time contractual programming position (mainly scraping, databasing)

This is a full time contractual role working for a sports advisory service. We are data insights consultancy specializing in sports. We consult to a number of sporting organizations in a variety of different roles. We are now expanding, and see the need to grow our capacity at extracting and data-basing sports information. This role is a full time, contracted 12 month position. Your role will be as a full time programmer, implementing solutions as instructed by our head programmer. This will be an opportunity to grow in experience over the 12 month period, working under a senior programmer with a lot of industry knowledge. We hope to maintain a multi-year relationship beyond the first year with somebody that suitably fulfills our programming requirements. The successful applicant will need to have: * Strong knowledge of the .NET framework and the programming language C# * Strong knowledge of SQL Server database, you MUST be able to demonstrate the ability to Create, Maintain and Query a Database * Understanding of IOC containers and how they should be used * Understanding of XML and XPath query language. In addition, the successful applicant will have: * Sign a Non Disclosure Agreement in reference to all work conducted for our organization * Very good/excellent English skills * Creativity and initiative, if a better solution is seen, the programmer should readily voice their opinion on how to conduct processes more effectively * Flexible in quickly moving from project to project * Easy to talk to * Good programming habits with well structured and commented code that conforms to industry standards What you can expect from us: * Flexible working hours, you choose how you want to work, as long as the projects are completed on time * An expectation of four weeks paid holidays per year * An employer that encourages the best through independent thinking and real responsibility * Committing to your career growth through being guided by a senior programmer Remuneration expectation: We are seeking a programmer in the range of $5,000 to $10,000 USD per year. When the user inputs their name it should print out “Hello {name}!”. The application should loop and ask the user the same question again after they have entered an answer.
