I am looking to mass import employees and their related documents (PDFs) from their platform on Personio to Odoo 17 Enterprise. I have the employee data in an Excel file and their documents could be in a separate folder. However, we have discussed that it might be better to connect to the Personio API, so there is no need for manual download and renaming of documents to associate them in some way. There are much fields as default Employee fields. Then I added some fields with Studio, but perhaps you prefer do some modifications. I am uncertain about the best way to link these employees with their respective documents in Odoo, especially in bulk. The Documents module has a direct import wizard for this purpose. Therefore, I also thought about using the Odoo API. What I do know is that employees are associated with contacts. Normally, this link is made when creating an associated contact, which occurs when entering the employee's private address. The documents are related to their owner (portal user*), although I also see that it can be related to a simple contact. *Portal users, unlike internal users, are contacts who have the ability to access via an email and password to a web portal - for example, to view their documents online - and that is what I had thought we would use to relate the employees with their documents. At least, that's how it is done manually. Access to Personio API (confidential data): I will send you after you analize and say me a price for it, and then we can sign an NDA. To access Odoo, if you provide a GitHub account, I will give you access to [login to view URL], so you do not need an internal Odoo user. Greetings, I have been using Odoo for more than 7 years and have worked with various modules including CRM, Sales, Purchase, Accounting and Inventory. My skills including setting up Odoo, installing and configuring apps/modules and also customizations using custom modules. I have also worked with Postgres server doing things like installing the server, creating backups and monitoring the server. For employees on Odoo, I do know there is an option to create users and link them to the employee, so perhaps we can use this route instead of creating portal users. Of course, if using the Enterprise version, this means this will count to your quota of users. I believe the documents app has a way to link documents to employees by default and we can make use of that. Let's engage over chat to further discuss your needs and the changes that you need done.
