I have files that are currently a working application that allow users to view and edit data in a manner similar to excel. A full description is below in "Deliverables".
## Deliverables
1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables):
a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment.
b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.
3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).
[login to view URL] displays all the queried data from the table "data", while [login to view URL] allows the user to go in and add new rows or edit current rows from the table "data". [login to view URL] finally submits all the additions and changes, while storing any original data in the table "data_changes". What I would like to do is create the ability to add a text comment to a given cell within [login to view URL], and view it in data.php. Users are required to log in to the site, and an "ID" is set for these specific users. I also want to make it so that anyone logged in can add a comment, but only the person who added a comment can then go and re-edit it later on. When viewing all the data in the [login to view URL] page any cell containing a comment should have a small icon appear in the top-right corner indicating that a comment exists for that cell. The icon should be a small red triangle, similar to that in excel, and the user will click once on it to bring up the text box containing the contents of the comment. A small "close X" icon will appear in the bottom right hand corner of the comment box so that the user can close this. Within the [login to view URL] file, once the cursor is on a specific cell, then within that cell should appear again appear a small red triangle, allowing the user to create a comment. If the cursor is not on a given cell, then no icon should appear. Finally, if a comment already exists for the current cell, then a red triangle should again appear, but this time the expandable box would contain the current comment as opposed to a blank entry field. The user can make any changes they want to the existing comment, but it will only be submitted by the [login to view URL] if the underlying piece of data has been changed. If not, then the existing piece of data remains in the "data" table, as opposed to being pushed out to the "data_changes" table, and it holds the original comment. Again, all of the three files mentioned above are currently a working application, so any further code should keep them that way, as well as maintaining an identical table structure. Furthermore, I would like any solution to use as much .css script as possible as opposed to javascript, so that it runs more easily on the end-users browser.
