Bug fix required for custom Magento script

Hello, We made a custom addition to Magento which will show different information (like prices of simple products) according to the selected color for a configurable product. The functionallity is working well for most browsers (also in Chrome, Firefox), but not with IE8: it's not working because of some ‘errors’. The following files have been changed: [login to view URL], varien/ [login to view URL], app/code/core/mage/catalog/block/product/view/options/type/configurable.php. Note that also jquery is being used. We are looking for a developer to fix these errors and to make this part compatible with all browsers.
