Need items added up using javascript

We have an online shopping cart that shows line items and the total quantity of each line item. We would like to have a simple javascript add up the line items into a grand quantity total. For example: Item 1 Qty 2 Item 2 Qty 5 Item 3 Qty 10 Javascript will show total quantity: 17 that's it.
