Shipping Price Estimator

We are an auto transportation company and ship cars for individuals and companies within United States. We currently provide quotes to our customers on our website but also want to have a Shipping Price Estimator. This project involves creating this tool, which we imagine will be a separate page on our website but also want to have the possibility integrate it with our quote form. Our website is done on a WordPress format, hosted by 1&1 Internet Inc. We want our customer to be able to select a date for shipment, origin state or zipcode, destination state or zipcode, and the size of vehicle being shipped, using these 4 criteria we would be able to give our customers an estimated price. As far as obtaining the actual data for prices, we have a table (excel), listing a matrix of 50x50 states, and an average price to ship from one to another. For example our customer selects ORIGIN: OR , DESTINATION: AZ, based on the lookup value the price would be $575. We have 3 different rate tables to corresponding to different seasons: spring, summer, winter. The appropriate table would be selected using the shipping date provided by the customer. The vehicle size would be surcharge type of function added to the price looked up in the table, where a sedan would be +$0, SUV would +$75, Pick Up Truck would be an additional +$150. We want to be able to update our data table and adjust the prices given to our costumers. It also important the price is provided instantly, preferable without reloading and remaining on the same page. (AJAX ?) In your bid include the price setup and integrate the price estimating function with our current quote form (done with gravityforms plug in) and on a separate page. Additional Feature for the separate page: For the separate page we want our customer to be able to select individual states on a silhouette map of the United States, very similar to what is provided CNN for election coverage, see example [login to view URL] However, if possible avoid the use of flash. We want to provide an interactive way for our customers to be able to obtain rates and we expect it to be a popular feature that is highly requested.
