Hello,
Please only bid if you have proven experience
with Event Tracking in Google Analytics.
I have Google analytics installed on a website we maintain.
Not revealing the website until I hire a coder.
I don't need a bunch of people contacting this company.
I want to track an outbound link using Event Tracking.
I'm using the "new" GA code.
I have put the following code below the </head> tag:
(note, the analytics code has been X'd out)
<script type="text/javascript">
function recordOutboundLink(this, category, action) {
try {
var pageTracker=_gat._getTracker("UA-XXXXXX-2");
pageTracker._trackEvent(category, action);
setTimeout('[login to view URL] = "' + [login to view URL] + '"', 100)
}catch(err){}
}
</script>
And, this is the code I'm using in my link:
onClick="recordOutboundLink(this, 'Outbound Links', '[login to view URL]');return false;"
It's not tracking the link.
It's not giving me a javascript error either.
You will get access to our CMS
You will get FTP access to the site.
You will get access to the Google Analytics account.
Thanks,
Eric
