Hi
First you should know, I don't care what language is used such as Python, Perl, Ruby, PHP etc. All I care about is that it does what i want and is easy to use.
I need a simple script that can replace place holder tags or markers (not sure what the correct term is)in a template with the info in a CSV or excel file, with the first row as the label names.
The template file would have markers in the form %(LABEL)s,or <<label>> or %%LABEL%% or whatever is needed where LABEL matches the column header of the CSV or excel file. The CSV files would have a column called 'FILENAME' which is the name of the file to write out for each row.
Put simply the script would find placeholders in my template, replace them with the correct values from the csv file and write the output files to another directory.
This needs to be easy for non-programmers to use. The template will change regularly, so changing template file must be easy and straight forward, a text box to paste the template into would be great but not necessary.
This can be web based or desktop.
