PERL Mentor to teach me advanced PERL

Hello, My name is Ken and I am self-taught in PERL. I would like a mentor to criticize my work, teach me improved coding practices and to help me understand more advanced PERL programming. I am not looking for a curriculum that will take me through the things I have already learned - I am not looking for a personal professor. I am looking for a friend who also codes in PERL that can help tutor me to understand the concepts which I can not grasp myself. I program websites that users can edit themselves. I always use MySQL and try to keep everything in modules and away from the cgi. I know that much, but I still shun the use of grep and map because I don't understand how they work. I still barely understand hashes, though I use them quite often along with references. I would also like to learn CGI::Application as it seems like it would help me program a more functional web application. I stay on the computer from around 8am EST to 3:30pm EST. But since I work from home I do take a lot of days off. So the times and dates will be flexible when we will chat. Thank you for looking and I appreciate any bids.
