This is a very simple script for anybody who knows what they are doing. The script needs to download a list of files and will run as a cron job. Details: The script will run as a cron job and will download files from specific URL's The files to download and the output names will be stored in a local file. The filename will be the input to the script The script must support timeouts when downloading files and only write the output if a download is successful. The script must be able to move onto the next URL if it cannot download the current one The script must use Log::Fun for logging The script should read its config file using Simple::Config, the location of the config file will be passed as an argument to the script. A debug to screen option should be included (an option in the config) and must change the daemon option in Log::Fun (for screen output) The filelist is a basic tab delimited text file and must support blank spaces and # characters for comments... e.g. # download this [login to view URL] [login to view URL] (spaces in this example have been used to represent \t) Complicated Bit There is one element to this bid that is a little more complicated and that is posting of form data. I would like to add the option of posting form data to the URL and typically this would be represented in the file as username=bob etc. (again tab delimited). So if a typical get request is: [login to view URL] then an entry (FOR A FORM POST NOT A GET) would look like: [login to view URL] [login to view URL] username=bob The script must support multiple form elements (tab delimited) If you need any more clarification on the above then please post a question. That's about it.
