Need a collaborative filtering algorithm constructed.

We need an advanced collaborative filtering algorithm to give our users recommendations for blogs they would be interested in reading as well as people who they may be interested based on the blogs they read. You must have experience building item based and user based filtering algorithms and be familiar with the different similarity scoring methods such as Pearson and Tanimoto. Examples of other ranking systems are Netflix, Pandora, and Amazon's 'You Might Like' We have data about the number of feeds a user has, if they have added the feed as a? favorite? a feed, the popularity of the feed on the site, if they have recommended a feed to someone else and who the user calls a friend. This is the raw data you will work with us to create the most? relevant? matching system for both other users and then the feeds that user has that may be interesting. You must also be able to create an efficient system that will scale as we add more users and more blogs to the system.? The site is written in PHP and MySQL so that is the? preferred? method for constructing the model in.
