165339 Clone or complete new site

Hi All Basically this is the priliminary stages as yet but I would like to get a few ideas of cost etc. AT the moment I have set up the website using Dolphin Community / Dating package at [login to view URL] Now the design is completely poor and needs a revamp but i'm a little worried about the system, which seems to have quite a few bugs and is a little messy. Basically I was thinking of a sort of clone... A website with a sign in page that alows people to search for the opposite sex on the very first page, as well as incenting them to register (so they wouldn't be able to actually view any of the profiles that came up until they register... But advertise it as a Community / Dating / Speeddating Events site. I would like the site to work similar to facebook but not as complicated.. I would like people to be able to store their pictures, and profile pictures, albums etc, and even videos (video can be enabled or disabled easily) They can send kisses, write on the wall, with tags etc. I would also like advanced features like being able to set your mood of the day, or create groups, and anybody who is in anyones friend circles can see every action they do... So basically it's everything Myspace offers with a look and feel more of facebook, as myspace seems a little tacky now for some reason. People cannot change their own backgrounds. Most importantly I would like a search feature more like myspace, allowing you to search for single people within a certain area (UK postcode how many miles etc) Perhaps at the top have three main option... Community Version, Dating Version, and Speeddating Events. So the site will not come across as a dating site immediately, but if they click on the dating tab it turns the design slighly less complicated and into more of a dedicated dating site, showing all the members that have entered themselves as being single and looking. Must be a little bit of room for advertising, and an easy way for customers to see their inbox / messages.. I would definitely like the customers to be able to record their own video messages easily and server friendly bandwith to upload into profile or send direct to people.. with abilities to set limits to the number of videos stored, length, etc. And for customers to easily upload a video of say a size of 50mb or record his own there and then, and for it to encode it as quickly and effectively as possible to put on site.. Also would I require a full server for this? If it's possible to get the system to run on a shared server first, and if it all takes off we can buy a proper server. I also need full designing doing that is completely unique and not available as a template for anyone else. I know it's a bit sketchy, but it could be the start of a wicked project.
