**I am writing a simple web server in visual basic 6.0 that I will be using to control the login scripts and shopping cart for my web site. I have a simple web server created, that allows multiple connections. It's works great on all web? browsers except firefox. The problem is firefox is requesting too many files too fast. I can't figure out how to fix this. I have attached the web server below. All I need is for the web server to work with firefox as well as all the other browsers.**?
? ? ? ? **To see the bug get the latest version of firefox, run the server and connect to it with your real IP not just your local host. Then you should see that sometimes it wont get a request to load a picture.
? ? ? ? I don't know why it works on the local host and not on the public IP but what's happening is the server is not even getting the request. Let's say you had [login to view URL] and 14 pictures that load with the page, that's 15 files so the server should get 15 requests to connect but for some reason when you do it with firefox and connect to the server with the public IP it will only get 14 requests. If you look even closer you will see that after firefox gets the [login to view URL] it will request the first 6 pictures on that page instantly, then when the server starts sending the files firefox will continue requesting the rest of the files. If you try it with IE the brower will only request 2-3 files at a time. I belive the problem is firefox is just requesting too many files too fast and winsock just can't handle it. Hopefully there is a way to get around this.**
