You should upgrade all plugins especially jquery (Revolution Slider - culprit for a major hacking episode). I don't know what stuff you have installed there. A template as such is very naive, benign thing. It is the "highly professionals" who build the jquery plugins (no kidding here) who introduce issues. .

Hello, I work as a website developer (and also hosting provider for my clients) since 2007. Getting hacked is always a terrible feeling. Most recent experience was from a customer: We host his website, he installed a 3rd party module into his PrestaShop and someone used the insecurities of that to make the whole site to rediret to different ads.
