Hello I'm a Lua programmer. I'm not very good at C, but can patch programs on C. For example, I patched Lua (Lua interpreter is written on C) to make it compile into one file with built-in script inside. And also I warn you: the way of patching a program to work with other version of a library may be dangerous. Even if it compiles, it may become very buggy and unstable. You have been warned. I don't suggest you to update your libs, probably you have good reason for not updating libs, so it's your choice. I would just patch php-4 to work with openssl-1.1.x, right?
