We need a POS software, (point of sale) for an IT company, as a brief we sell and do repair services for computer and cell phones, also we sell accessories for both, so what we need is an application that can control the stock, repair services and manage the sell transactions. We have multiple locations, and on each location we have multiple post to do the sale transaction, so we need to centralise our data on a main point. Also each location and post should have it’s own configuration and invoicing options also invoicing serial, it’s like different company but sharing the items database. Right now we are using software called PhpPos, they have a free demo online, it’s great we have never had issues with it, but missing some features, that’s why we are looking to replace it. The next are the features that we need to add it to the software : 1 – it should has the server and terminal idea, explanation : we have multiple locations, but they are all sharing the same items list (but not the same stock) so we need to create a server that has all the items, prices, items serial numbers but each location will have his own stock quantity . 2 – should have a section to create a service label for the repair, each service will have it’s own service tag, based on the location, and this service tag should be added on the POS as an item, so the moment that the client will be picking up his device to pass the payment will be found on the POS using the service tag. 3 – be able to add items by bulk using excel sheets, which should has the same details if you add them 1 by 1.
