Script Modification

This job consists of 2 parts. There is a script vulnerablility in a script I am using, details are here: [login to view URL] I would like someone experienced in this problem to close the vulnerability hole. There is a lot of info on the net about this security hole, but the original programmer is not fixing it after a year and a half. Licensing permits modifications, so there is no problem there. Also, I want a change in the way articles are presented. basically, I want to be able to select an option from the admin area where either random, or static articles can be shown on the front page. Finally, there is a "licensing" option from admin that allows articles to be drip fed to the application. I want this modified so that I can drip feed articles from a local directory on the webhost.
