KDP Book Publishing Assistant

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a KDP Book Publishing Assistant. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting our book publishing business on the Kindle Direct Publishing (KDP) platform. Your primary responsibilities will revolve around collaborating seamlessly with our team of writers and graphic designers, performing grammar checks, formatting books (e-books and print), and efficiently publishing books. You will provide valuable insights regarding keywords, categories, and feedback to enhance the overall productivity of the team. Additionally, you will be responsible for identifying, reaching out to, and managing relationships with potential book reviewers to generate valuable reviews and increase book exposure. Responsibilities: - Collaborate effectively with writers and graphic designers to ensure a smooth publishing process. - Perform thorough grammar checks and proofreading to ensure high-quality manuscript content. - Format manuscripts according to industry standards and guidelines for optimal reader experience. - Utilize the KDP platform to publish books in various formats (eBook, paperback, etc.). - Conduct research on relevant keywords and categories to maximize book visibility and discoverability. - Provide feedback and suggestions to writers, graphic designers, and the team to enhance workflow efficiency. - Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and KDP policies to ensure compliance and optimize book performance. - Assist in managing metadata, including book descriptions, author bios, and book covers. - Monitor and analyze book performance, sales data, and customer reviews to identify opportunities for improvement. - Collaborate with team members to develop and implement strategies for effective book marketing and promotion. - Actively build and maintain a pipeline of potential book reviewers, researching relevant platforms, blogs, and communities. - Reach out to potential book reviewers, introducing our publications and providing review copies for consideration. - Manage relationships with book reviewers, ensuring timely follow-up and fostering positive connections. Requirements: - Strong proficiency in American English grammar, spelling, and punctuation. - Excellent attention to detail and strong proofreading skills. - Familiarity with formatting and publishing books on the Kindle Direct Publishing (KDP) platform. - Knowledge of keyword research and book categorization techniques to optimize book discoverability. - Experience in providing constructive feedback and suggestions to improve content quality and workflow efficiency.
