Editing/proofreading work is what I mostly do on Freelancer. I registered in February last year and have 142 reviews, all positive. English is my first language and my skills include technical writing, editing, proofreading, and transcribing. I am happy to take the small test that you require. At the beginning of this year I took on a role as the copy editor for The International Journal of Wellbeing, an online journal, and several months ago I began as the copy editor for the Blind Foundation of New Zealand. For two years I was a copy editor for Elsevier Science Publishers in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, rewriting text by authors who were not native English speakers. This included material in the health sector. I have worked with individual clients to bring more than 20 books to publication and five of these clients have rehired me to work on further books. Having been a teacher of English in high school for four years, I have spent many hours making corrections and suggestions for students' essays.
