Email parser - python (windows .exe) or script

I need a Python based software that runs on windows as .exe (executable) file. Here is what I want to do: 1. Look at email inbox 2. Find emails that match a criteria 3. Parse each email's content 4. Put this information in a DB or Excel sheet Basically, here is the use-case: I have a mailbox that receives daily emails about issues, progress, status. All those emails come in a particular templated format. What I want to do is, automatically parse these emails and consolidate information in one database or excel file. Sort of a dashboard. For example: Project Name | Defect | Progress | % completed | ________________________________________ MyProject-1 | 10 | 5/10 | 50% MyProject-2 | 9 | 3/9 | 33% --------------------------------------------------------------------- All this information comes in emails. I just need to consolidate it all in one excel file. Also, we'd need to create a "tab" for each day or add a "date" column. So, that we can look-up status for any particular date. Challenges: 1. Emails come in Outlook. We'd probably need to create a software that automatically imports emails from Outlook file OR directly interacts with exchange server (I can create a dedicated emailbox on exchange server) 2. I'd like to create a graphical view of the data as well. Use data to plot graph for overall ALL projects (filtered by some criterias) and graphs for each project too.
