Application that runs on a Raspberry Pi that cycles through user's digital movie movie poster collection. This app will needs to self start when the Pi is booted up and will run on a large tv screen in portrait mode. The outer frame, sides and back of TV will be hidden by a frame built around the TV and displayed professionally on a wall. Hence, a ever changing DIGITAL MOVIE POSTER (DMP). This DMP must also be accessed on using a web interface on another pc on the LAN. Target audience are people with home theaters. requisites: - ease of use as many customers will be non-technical - first use setup program for wifi, username/password, and other settings - Pi needs to by default boot directly into app, in portrait mode, with only the customer's chosen logo shown on the screen. Alternately, a blank screen during boot is acceptable. - Pi must be able to scrape new movie posters from [login to view URL] then store them locally, along with being able to access posters stored locally, and on local network. Local storage will be either a smart card or USB flash drive. - Pi must have an hidden options to boot into the Pi OS along with the App's control panel - Pi and DMP must be accessible and controllable by another PC on the LAN. This interface should be web based and be easy to use, preferably gui. In addition, an Android/Iphone app that offers some controls would be useful. - scales to any resolution - KODI and/or Plex integration. DMP shows what is currently playing. - features the customer should be able to edit from the web interface - being able to vary the time between poster changes - different transition effects - ability to manually add posters - change between portrait and landscape mode. - skip, replay, freeze posters. - manually create groups for similar posters. These are our requested features, please feel free to suggest others. There are currently three such applications like this.
