Upgrade to R package

I have created a package for the R statistics environment which scrapes data from the web, builds an sqlite database, then exports the data into a social network analysis package. I need the database to be restructured so that the data collection is more stable and efficient. All of the data comes from the Google Scholar academic database, and it is in bibtex format. This is an academic project to build citation networks for the purpose of research on scientific productivity.
