need: I need a dev to write a script that automates creating MaryTTS voices in a lubuntu vm risk: I would create the script myself, but the documentation out of date and may be inaccurate. Also I am not very comfortable with linux. The dev will troubleshoot the documentation and ensure the script can generate a voice. why: I will create many voices, and I want to verify the voice creation process works and is simple. what: the script will - input: the input to the script is a list of audio files and text transcriptions for each audio file. - output: the script will generate a MaryTTS voice. - goal: the new voice can be used in my project. Steps - download Lubuntu VM ([login to view URL]) - install marytts - build voice - overview ([login to view URL]) documentation ([login to view URL]) using the audio files and transcriptions in this zip ([login to view URL]) - document steps - create script - send VM to me. Hi, I have around 4 years of experience in various types of software projects modeled around the Linux/Unix ecosystem. During this time I got chance to get acquainted with Linux multimedia frameworks such as ALSA, gstreamer, mplayer/mplayer2 etc. so that knowledge will help me in developing your script for TTS voice building automation. Currently I am an active developer and contributor to the openembedded and yocto projects which have a lot of bash/python scripts for automation.
