stata filename doubt (Bid <=10$, else will not be accepted)

Hi..I am using a stata script which saves dta files in a specific folder: save ${dta_path}\data`date_var'.dta, replace where date_var is a date in yyyymm format so for e.g if dta_path is C:/Data_dump and lets say an example of filename is [login to view URL] saved in this folder This above example is for windows. When i try to run this script in mac, changing the paths lets say dta_path is /Users/Documents/Data_dump it saves the dta files with a \ in front of them. I have tried changing the above line to save ${dta_path}data`date_var'.dta, replace but it still saves the dta file with a backslash in front of it How to correct this
