Hello, My traffic is growing and I need to rent a private server (OVH -> [login to view URL]), but my site requires some modules, so I need some one who can make me a simple "How to" to configure a debian lenny server. SSH is already installed, here is what I need : - Apache 2 - PHP5 - ionCube - MySQL 5 - PhpMyAdmin - perl/cgi (working in a cgi-bin folder) - javascript - cURL - JSON - FFmpeg (full version, I mean the one with MP3 encoding support (maybe from [login to view URL])), Mplayer, Mencoder, Flvtool2, FFmpeg-PHP - FTP: Proftpd - Webmail: Postfix - Roundcube My site is actually hosted on a shared server ([login to view URL]) and works fine so I hope someone will be able to do this "How to", but if you need more infos let me know. First of all I suggest you to avoid the old Debian Lenny and switch to Debian Squeeze (the actual stable release). You can use the Debian Multimedia repository with Squeeze too. I don't understand if you want someone to install a new server or if you want just an how-to document, or both. I have experience with OVH private host and Debian, so I think I have no problem on accomplish both tasks. But writing an how-to is an extremely variable task, you should clarify how exaustive the doc should be. The most problematic part of your project is ionCube, as it is not free software: if any problem arises, you must relay on vendor support.
