I need a sub in VBA to loop through selections(active) cells in a pivot table and return the cell value/name and the parent/group name or names (if more than one tier). ie. ASM_WORK --- OBJECT-1 --- --- [login to view URL] --- --- [login to view URL] BSD_WORK --- OBJECT-1 --- --- [login to view URL] --- --- [login to view URL] --- OBJECT-2 --- --- [login to view URL] --- --- [login to view URL] If i were to select the cell containing [login to view URL] under group ASM_WORK - OBJECT-1 the response would be ASM_WORK - OBJECT-1 - [login to view URL] If I were to select [login to view URL] from BSD_WORK, OBJECT-1 the response would be BSD_WORK - OBJECT-1 - [login to view URL] If I were to select all cells with a value of [login to view URL] the response would be ASM_WORK - OBJECT-1 - [login to view URL] BSD_WORK - OBJECT-1 - [login to view URL] BSD_WORK - OBJECT-2 - [login to view URL] excel file attached with sample data and my attempt to write the vba, (cannot get the parent group values/labels)
