We are looking for an EXE or a Script (or a series of EXE/Scripts) that change the windows environment automatically, and then spits out a log file to let the user know what was successful and what failed.
It must work for Windows 7 Home and Pro (32 & 64 bit) and Windows 10 home and Pro (32 and 64 bit). We are happy for it to be different exe's or scripts if required. It is safe to assume we can run the script/exe as administrator.
1) Hide all icons from the desktop and change desktop to black.
2) Completely remove the taskbar so it never appears.
3) Suppress all windows error messages ([login to view URL] doing it using Group Policy and [login to view URL] using Registry).
4) Disable Windows Updates.
5) Disable Windows Firewall.
5) Turn all power options off, specifically:
Require a password on wakeup: No
Wireless Adapter Settings > Power Saving Mode: Maximum Performance
Sleep > Sleep after: Never
Sleep > Allow hybrid sleep: Off
Sleep > Hibernate after: Never
Sleep > Allow wake timers: Disable
Power buttons and lid > Power button action: Do nothing
Power buttons and lid > Sleep button action: Do nothing
Display > Turn off display after: Never
In order to change the name of the power plan from "Balanced" to "fivefaces", run this script:
powercfg -changename 381b4222-f694-41f0-9685-ff5bb260df2e "fivefaces"
6) Run a themepack we will provide if relevant to the OS.
7) Set the account picture to a logo we will provide (png).
8) Disable Aero Peek and all Aero
9) Power Button Action should restart
10) Perform the following BCEDIT Configurations:
bcdedit /set {default} recoveryenabled no
bcdedit /set {current} bootstatuspolicy ignoreallfailures
11) Set Internet Explorer
Open Internet Explorer and choose "Internet Options" from the settings menu.
Set the Home Page based on the client for this system.
Click the Settings button in the Browsing history section.
Select "Every time I visit the webpage", then click the OK button.
Click the OK button in the Internet Options window.
------------------------------------------
We want the above programmatically done in the EXE/Script, and a log is output that refers to each line and whether ti was successful or not, and if not, what the error may be.
Looking for this pretty quickly - so do submit interest!
