I have a wordpress ADULT site. Nothing had been added or changed and suddenly the memory usage started going towards %100 and now the site is running very slowly. I disabled all plugins and the site runs fast but the memory still does not come down. The memory usage is always around %33 so i don't know what's causing it to spike. I need someone experienced with issues like this and who can work in SSH as my site does not have cpanel. I also need someone who can find out what is using the memory and not just tell me "get more memory" as I know that is not the issue. I have uploaded a picture of the memory spike so you can see. As you can see usually always steady at %33 but for the last few hours it's gone crazy.

I've personally dealt with this problem myself and theirs a number of problems that may be happening here. 1. Your traffic has grown by a huge percentage than when you started and your current server isn't strong enough to compensate 2. You're using a popular post widget which takes a lot of resources once your viewer count increases and it has to send a query for the most popular post every time someone visits 3. An non optimized query is hogging up all your resources. 9 times out of 10 it is the first option the best way to diagnosis this problem will be seeing every query thats running by the second which would be easily done via WHM. The memory spike should be coming from a hotlinking attack on your website. Are you using AWS or Azure? I'm an software security expert and very experienced with such attacks from China and NorthKorea. Let's get started.
