I've installed Microsoft visual studio Express, but I've been unable to run the demos of the svdfeature toolkit (see [login to view URL]) on my PC (windows 8, 64 bit). I think that it should be straightforward for someone who is technically proficient, but I'm a newbie. For this project, I'd like help (with screensharing) to get the demo code running on my PC. More specifically, I'd like help building and running the code that I have already downloaded from http://svdfeature.apexlab.org. There will probably be at least one additional future project, after I'm able to run and play with the code. So, if you have expertise in machine learning or collaborative filtering beyond what is needed to get the code running on my PC, please let me know. Files and manual are attached.

Hi! This seems like an interesting job :) I bid on this because this caught my eye. My undergrad project this year actually was about machine learning. It was nothing new or astounding, simply achieving accuracy greater than 90% in text categorization using Linear SVCs. It was fun (apart from the idiocy of my mentors at the University, though) Well, before (and if) you'd like to award this bid, please message on on here (I can't instantiate a conversation with an employer until he has instantiated one) and let's see what's what.
