Hello, May I offer an alternative as using wxpython for windows as the way of implementing this? That will be a faster way of doing and there is a great support. It can also create installable executables. I have a good experience with that. Also I am an experienced engineer with 16+ year experience, based in Bangalore. Let me know if you are interestd. I have strong experience in C/C++. Also I have experience in working with mobile platforms, which are very critical for CPU and memory resources (iOS, Objective-C/C++). As I'm working on neural networks (that is my own project), I don't have any troubles with complicated math algorithms and optimization due to speed or memory usage.
