I need a library that reads m4a files (AAC (mp4) and ALAC (QuickTime movie) encoded files). In C # - I want to use it for a project in Unity3d. I want access to parameters - number of channels - sample rate - number of bits per sample of mono data - number of samples - number of samples for one channel Reading data with a method bool Load (Stream stream) Method to be retrieved from decompressed data int Get (byte [] samples, int channel)

The library you are looking for is called "ffmpeg".You can use the TagLib# library to read and write m4a files.
