Customized Job Scheduling Application

Our company is in great need to build a customized job scheduling application. Unlike most off-the-shelf project management software, the application we have in mind should be indepedant of dates on the calendar year. Instead, only day numbers, for example, day 1,2,3...200,201...etc (only working days) as opposed to Jan 1st, 2nd, 3rd...so on. _Few conditions for the day numbering system: _-- The day numbers do not restart each year but continue. -- If a task/activity in a job gets rescheduled on the calendar, for example from May 16th to May 17th, the original day # attached to May16th gets moved over to May 17th. For example if the day # for May 16th was 100 before rescheduling the task, and after rescheduling to May17th the day # would still be 100. --Application should be able to notify the trade partners of such change --The application database should be placed on our extranet so that our trade partners/vendors can view the job schedules. _Integration Requirements with our back-office ERP system_ Also we have purchased off-the-shelf ERP system (Builder360) specifically designed to the construction industry but their scheduling module does not meet our needs. The customized scheduling application to be built should be interfaced/integrated with the Purchasing/Estimating module of our ERP systems to issue relevant Purchase Orders to our Trade Partners via email and/or fax system. This system should also be interfaced/integrated with our back-office ERP system _Required Skills:_ -- Database Design/Development SQL Server 2000 -- Experience interfacing different system into ERP -- Programming skills: .NET, VBA (Access), SQL, ODBC, XML ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased.
