140124 PHP / XML Pligg Script Mod

This straight-forward project requires an extension/modification of Pligg to be able to bookmark research abstracts (and associated information such as author, authors, title, institution, and category) from PubMed in a manner similar to biowizard-dot-com which employs Pligg [login to view URL] as its social bookmarking engine. The script will be able to extract abstract data such as and other relevant information from PubMed using cookies, cURL and/or xml, and the PubMed Outside Tool (more info in txt file attached). PHP files from biowizard-dot-com are provided as starting examples. Use these to complete the modification with pligg, although with modifications to be unique. Any competent programmer would be able to easily use these to get to a simple solution. The accepted coder will be needed for further work once the job is completed to satisfaction. ----------------------------------------------------------- You MAY NOT post the final solution for this (and any) project before your bid is accepted and funds are fully escrowed. Anyone who does may have their account permanently suspended. However, you CAN post: * On programming projects: A prototype or functional demo...as long as source code is not provided. * On graphics projects: A watermarked and low-resolution version of the work. Platform: UNIX VPS or dedicated server running PHP 5.1/5.2 and MySQL Deliverables: All deliverables must be sent to buyer before the deadline(s) for this project...with no exceptions. If this contract makes it impossible for a competent person to do this, then do not start this project. 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).
