File content search(xml records) using scripts - no CGI

The objective of this project is to provide a HTML based searchable-interface to a file's content residing on the server. The file containins multiple XML records - all of the same format. Users can search this file based on field-level keyword to fetch and display the relevant record level items. This will enable them to take print-outs and forward reports. There is restriction that any form of CGI (PHP, Java Servlet etc) or Plug-ins are not allowed on the server end.
