Ill keep it short, Im not interested but I think your issue may be because of illegal character contained within the value. try json_encode($ar, JSON_HEX_TAG | JSON_HEX_APOS | JSON_HEX_QUOT | JSON_HEX_AMP); or even JSON_UNESCAPED_UNICODE
