Hi all! I want to produce a little 2 seat experimental hot air balloon in lightweight nylon ripstop fabric. It is a real 14meter high ship with a volume of around 1500 cubic meters. I have the 3D completed in Solidworks, and for creating flat patterns for cutting the panels that compose a vertical gore (there are 15 panels on each vertical gore, and a total of 12 gores), I have used the flatten surface tool inside SW 2017. This tool seems to have some limitations from my point of view, and what I would need, in phase 1, is that somebody takes the dxf files from me and confirms that all panel shapes have simmetry in them, as it should be like this, but I don't know how to confirm this (I'm not an advanced SW user).
