I'm working on my very first data science project by trying to build a recommender system for the Nintendo game animal crossing by which it recommends the best furniture items to give the nonplayable villagers. I have a dataset that lists all of the furniture items each villager has. I'm creating a matrix where the villager names are the index and the columns are each unique furniture item id. I have created the matrix with all values set to zero, and I'm trying to pass through my dataset to apply a 1 to every item a villager has. i am able to do this row by row, but I can't figure out how to make a for loop function to apply this across all of the rows.

Then I have a list of keto foods that I have to have the correct weight in grams for each ingredient, and all the keto foods amount to 156 grams of protein, 30 grams of carbohydrates and 186 grams of fat.
