I need to capture the impedance from a DMM (Digital Multi Meter) to a PC as a data INPUT for a custom app I'm building for a good friend. The 3rd party-software PC-Link, included in the package, captures perfectly the readings of the DMM. The problem starts when I try to get this same readings from my scripts. I get the data but it seems to be encoded in an unknown (for me) code. I'v tried, unsuccesfully, with "utf-8", "windows-1252", "ascii" etc... Those entries would contain a picture and other key:value information (SQL or NoSQL is fine, but we plan on scaling to remote RDS or the like if this takes off).
