I have a preliminary design for installing hydronic in-floor radiant heat in my home renovation/addition. I am using 1/2" PEX (link: ). I have an existing natural boiler that has 80K BTH/HR output that was previously connected to hydronic baseboard heat (copper). It has been retrofitted by a local HVAC contractor to continue to provide heat via one of the original baseboard heat zones while also connecting to a Cross Manifold (link: ) capable of 8 zones. The existing home is approximately 1900 sq feet, the addition is a bonus room above a new attached garage - total about 550 sq feet.
